Name: Suzanna May Ellismen
Age: 15 (Exceptions could be made?)
Birthday: 3/3 (March 3rd)
Gender: Female
Hometown: Bemidji, Minnesota.
Face Claim: AnnaSophia Robb
Nationality: Icelandic-American
Languages Spoken: English. A few bits of French, Italian, German, Swedish, and Gaelic as well. And by bits she means that she can look through a dictionary in that language and understand a couple words in it.
Description: Suzy May is short for her age, at only 4’11. She’s always been scrawny but still healthy. She has very pale blonde, straight hair that never goes past her shoulders. Her eyes are soft brown, like mud pies or freshly-baked brownies, and are evenly spaced out on her head. Her clothing style is normally a combination of various types of clothing mashed together that look like a thrift-store puked on her. She really likes glitter and often scrounges up makeup that has it in it. She is nearly always smiling, even if only too herself, and has surprisingly good dental hygiene, despite the war conditions. She has pale skin, unblemished and unmarked. She’s never been in a fight of any sort and she’s not clumsy at all so she has no scars or scratches.
Skills:
Personality: Suzy is a girl who still believes in fairies. The glass is always half full and she manages to see the silver lining everywhere. She sees only the best in every situation and has a very bright and cheery personality. She can light up a room with her presence and smiles are standard accessories in her wardrobe. Suzy is highly optimistic and is deeply empathetic. She understands people very well and does her best to make everyone feel happy and cheerful. She’s the girl who’s learned to dance in the rain instead of complaining aobut having to stay inside.
Suzy’s outlook on life leaves her quite gullible. She’s easily manipulated because it never occurs to her that someone could be lying. She doesn’t like the spotlight and prefers anonymity, so if you see the freshly baked cookies on your pillow or a particularly lovely bouquet of flowers on the breakfast table, don’t assume a random creeper has broken into your house and is messing with your mind. She loves helping people or randomly doing things for them as long as she’s treated nice. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. However, Suzy’s easy and trusting nature also leaves her vulnerable to injury. Insults and confessions about lying and such devastate her. A crying Suzy is like drowning a kitten. Or poisoning a pixie. The other problem is: what good is a benign fairy in the middle of an extraterrestrial war?
Bio/History: Suzanna May Ellismen was born in a regular nuclear family in the midst of suburban Bemidji. Her father was a radiologist and her mother was a fashion model. She had an older brother, Trevor, but she always got along great with him. In fact, she lived a charmed life. She was able to grow up being a princess, basically living in a fantasy world with fairies and knights and vast kingdoms. There were never any dragons. Her world remained perfect, even in school. Her sweet personality granted her immunity to bullies and trouble. It also attracted nearly everyone as a friend. In fact, everyone grew to love her so much that nobody had the heart to tell her that fairies didn’t exist.
But to her they did. After all, didn’t one give her money every time she lost a tooth? And she was pretty sure that Santa wasn’t completely human. He had to have had some type of Fey magic in order to fit his bulk down their tiny fireplace. Suzy remained in this blissful world without need or longing for anything. Not everything went her way, but she was always able to change directions and go with it. She basically lived in a fairytale.
But a dragon, witch, or evil king always eventually enters a fairytale. A very evil king entered her world one day. She had seen him on TV, after reports of demon-like things running around the city. He had been saying that he could offer safety to anything in the area at a place called “the Sharing”. From the start she knew he was evil. She could see it in his eyes. And his smile was fake. Only evil people faked their smiles. That night, she and her parents fled the city. They couldn’t find her brother, but her parents didn’t stop to search.
Somehow they made their way through the city and into the neighboring woods. But as she stumbled and fell into a bush, two red lights flashed from out of nowhere. When she eventually got up, she stood in the middle of a ring of mushrooms. Right on the edge were two small piles of ash. Her parents were nowhere to be found. Since that day, Suzy’s belief in fairies has only gained, believing that her life had been spared by the fairy circle. She quickly found another group of refugees and she stayed with them for several weeks before drifting off again. That’s how she spent most of the early years of the war, drifting from refugee group to refugee group, until she finally located a place in Los Angeles, called Union by most, yet she always called it Zion because of some kid getting to her first. And that’s where the Animorphs found her.
Starting Morphs:
Land: Fennec
Bug: Firefly
Other: Leucistic Hummingbird
Scene with Parent: “Mommy, I love it!” Suzy said as she twirled around in front of the mirror. Giant pink butterfly wings erupted from her back. She wore a white, knee-length dress with bits of lace and silk flowers in various pastels dotting the outfit. Sequins and glitter sparkled in the light form her ceiling lamp. Her shoes were silver flip-flops, covered in more glitter with a pink rose between each big two and the second toe on each foot. Gauzy tights covered her legs. Clutched in her left hand was a silver wand with an artistically bedazzled golden star on the tip. Pink, yellow, and blue strings were attached to the base of the star, fluttering about with the spinning motions of the girl.
She was going to be the best fairy out there this year! No other first grader was going to cool as good. An excited grin spread across the fairy’s face as she anticipated Trick-or-Treating. She turned around and jumped into her mommy’s arms. “Aren’t I the beautifullest fairy you ever saw?” she said sweetly and sincerely. Of course her mother could do nothing but reply, “You most certainly are.” This set the tiny girl on a fit of happy giggles. She would get a lot of candy this year. Absolutely nobody would resist giving her bags and bags of candy. And if they didn’t, she could always put a spell on them to make them! Yes, she could do that. She started laughing again, caught up in her own little world as she ran out of the room to practice her magic on their poodle.
She soon cornered the pooch in the corner of the basement behind the clothes dryer. “Abra cadabra and hocus pocus! I command you to dance and I’m not joke—us!” she incanted, waving her wand. Then she tapped Sheilla’s nose with the shiny star and squeezed her eyes shut. She held them closed for forever before deciding that it was probably time for Sheilla to be dancing. Suzy put her hands down and opened her eyes…and Sheilla was gone! “Wow!” Suzy exclaimed. “I made her go invisible instead!” Then she started laughing. IF she didn’t get any treats this year, she was going to give those people a major Trick! See how they’d like it if they were turned invisible. I bet they’d even put their clothes on backwards.
Suzanna ran back upstairs to tell Mommy and daddy the good news. “I made Sheilla turn invisible!” she yelled. She jumped up on her daddy’s lap and hugged him. “How’d you do that?” her father said, smiling. “It was easy! I was trying to make her dance, but I musta used the wrong spell! I said, ‘Abra cadabra and hocus pocus. Dance for me because I’m not jocus!’. And then she disappeared!”
“Look! There she is!” she heard her mother cry. Intregued, Suzy pivoted on her daddy’s lap and followed the direction her mom was pointing. And sure enough, Sheilla was there! Walking into the room from the kitchen! “Wow! I must have made her turn uninvisible!” she said. But then a serious look crossed her face and the smile vanished. Still clutching her wand, she placed a hand on each side of daddy’s face so she could keep eye contact. “Don’t worry Daddy,” she said seriously, “I promise I won’t make anyone stay invisible longer than it takes for them to give me candy. I promise not to be mean to them.”
Confusion crossed her face as her parents started roaring with laughter. “What’s so funny? I’m serious!” she said. The laughs just got louder.
