Miami is bordered by two national parks and a long stretch of gorgeous beaches, and the Miami River runs through the heart of the metropolitan area. Like many of its denizens the city is deceptively welcoming, though dangerous and cutthroat at its core.

Located on Biscayne Bay, the port used to be a main launching point for cruise ships. Recently the warehouses have been under major renovations, however, and the Empire has surely found another use for them. Watercraft, both alien and human alike, are frequently seen entering and leaving the port.

Engineers quickly realized that digging enormous feeding pools into the swampy, shifting ground was impractical. Instead, about a dozen smaller pools have been created within and around the city.
