Name: Sawyer
Age: 21
Birthday (07/15)
Gender: Female
Hometown: Chicago
Face Claim: Mandy Moore
Nationality: American
Languages Spoken: English
Description: Saywer is slim and short waisted which makes her look like she has love handles if she wears low rise jeans or skintight shirts. She has soft wavy hair reaching a few inches past her shoulder and she usually doesn't style it much since it's easier to just brush it and leave it down. Her brown eyes often look sad but they do light up if certain people know how make her smile. She has long slender legs and an oval shaped face. The boys that see her say she is pretty but not hot.
The rest of her physique is pretty much average. She generally has a very serious expression on her face or she looking like she is mulling over something. She doesn't give a full on smile (big grin teeth and all) much but she will crack a smirk once and a while when no one is looking.
Skills: 1. Sherlock Holmes like deduction/observational skills.
2. Quick Reflexes
3. Eloquent Speaker
Personality: Sawyer is usually a pretty serious person and she is not use to having friends so she may come off as being shy to people. She doesn't like to open up to people because she worries they won't understand or be supportive. She also doesn't want to burden people with her problems. She is incredibly observant and wants to help those she cares about. She knows some simple self defense moves but nothing too flashy
Sawyer is not the type to procrastinate or leave a job unfinished. She is determined and even though she carries a lot of emotional baggage she always keeps a strong face. She can be rather inquisitive when she has a hunch about something and she will investigate a situation until she gets the answers she needs. Sometimes her desire to get the scoop means she has to be a bit pushy and relentless but once she gets what she came for she'll back off and leave you alone.
Bio/History: Sawyer was born in Chicago to her parent James and Carol. Sawyer only has a vague memory of them because when she was four they decided to go on a vacation, just the two of them, for their anniversary and dropped Sawyer off to stay with her uncle, John, while they were gone. After that Sawyer's parent's disappeared without a trace. No one knew what had happened to them but over the years after hearing rumors from the neighbors and the taunts from kids at school Sawyer became convinced that her parents had not wanted her anymore and therefore they abandoned her. Sawyer's uncle adopted her and Sawyer recognized him as her real father (and so she called him dad instead of Uncle John) Sawyer didn't have any friends growing up in Chicago since the rumors surrounding her and her parents disappearance made it difficult to find real friends. One day, not too long after Sawyer’s tenth birthday, Sawyer's uncle, who is a rocket scientist was given a really good job offer but it would require them to move (to whatever town the original Animorphs lived in). Sawyer was happy hoping that she could get a fresh start and finally make some friends but people still spread rumors about her because she was "the new girl” and because she had an excellent vocabulary for her age. Even worse after a late night shift her uncle started acting different than usual. She would soon learn that her uncle's boss was a controller, and he had made her uncle one as well.
As a few years went by Sawyer noticed more that something was seriously wrong with her uncle. He would scream in his sleep “Help me! Get this slug out of my head” and once while he was still awake be begged Sawyer to help him. At first Sawyer thought he was schizophrenic but then one day she when went to go give her uncle a surprise visit at his office and she overheard a conversation between her uncle and his boss. They were talking about the progress the Yeerks were making and how soon they would infest every human on the planet. She also heard them talking about how they had finally dealt a major blow to the “Andalite Bandits” and that the reason her uncle had been infested with a Yeerk was so they could use the knowledge in his brain to help make weapons and ships for the Yeerk armies. Sawyer realized that if everything she had overheard was true than that would explain the oddities with her uncle. She decided that it was too dangerous for her to live at home anymore because she feared that she would be infested as well so she set out to seek the Andalite Bandits her uncle and his boss had mentioned. Years went by without any luck that is until after the Yeerk takeover. She was looking for a place to sleep one night (and hide from some Yeerk invested policeman she saw patrolling the streets) and stumbled into a Animorph faction meeting. It took some persuasion to convince them that she was a friend and that she was not infested with a Yeerk but eventually they let join their cause to help save the world and hopefully one day her uncle.

Most people had their mother or father read to them before they went to bed but Sawyer instead would be the one reading and her uncle and adoptive father would listen. Sawyer had begun reading at an early age so she preferred to read herself a bedtime story. Her uncle always told her that she read the stories so beautifully and that one day she would be a famous public speaker. Sawyer didn't want to think that quite far ahead yet. She only wanted to spend some time with the man who had become a father to her. She picked up the book she had been reading for the past week and opened it.
"OK only three chapters tonight," She stated as her uncle sat down on the edge of her bed. "We both have a big day tomorrow. It's your first day of work and my first day of school." Sawyer smirked as her uncle groaned in protest and chuckled inwardly to herself at how reversed the roles between father and daughter sometimes where in this house. Her uncle asked how she felt about starting at new school and she said that she was nervous but happy at the prospect of getting to start over with a clean and hopefully make some friends. Her uncle smiled and hugged her and she tightly hugged him back. Even though she hadn't blatantly said it all the rumors that had spread around her due to her biological parents' disappearance had been starting to get to her. She broke away from her uncle's embrace and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks dad" she smiled weakly. She knew that her uncle felt weird about her referring to him as her father but to her he was her father and as such that's what she would call him. "Now where were we?"
