The Third Blaine

I'm not sure if anyone on here doesn't know the original story with my characters, but just in case:

Matthew and Sara have a younger brother. Joel Blaine is 16 and was last seen in Chicago, the former home of the twins, as a controller. The idea with this thread is, someone suggested bringing Joel in - potentially as my third character - and sending him through the Academy as a new Animorph. The issue with that is Joel is a controller. We'd need to rescue him first. In fact, Matt and Sara have wanted to rescue him for a while.

The idea with this thread: Brainstorm ways to save Joel.

EDIT: I'm fairly certain any character who wants to can be part of this, but we will probably cap the members at some point.

Making this idea, discussed with Aubrey, slightly more public.

Long story short, Aubrey and I discussed bringing in Joel and her controller character, Jon, together. Joel would probably be rescued in this thread and Jon, I believe, is probably going to get captured.

IDEA: Jon's yeerk does deliveries. Notalc, Joel's yeerk, is working for whomever Jon's current delivery is going to and is going to oversee and escort the delivery. The Animorphs involved in Joel's rescue can catch the two controllers out in the open where less yeerks would be able to come to their aid. Joel is saved and Jon is captured as collateral damage.

That's the general idea anyways. What we need now is an idea of who wants their character to play a part in this. Obvious ones would be people who knew Matt or Sara well and want to help out a friend, but it doesn't need to be limited to that.

I talked a bit with Dexter's player, too. We're thinking Dexter will tip off/meet Stevert (Or some Animorph....?) and tell him about the shipment. That way, the Animorphs know about it and attack.

If you guys really want to play out a freedom run you can. But I just had the thought that maybe you guys can skip to getting to the Bladeship. (This goes for Jon as well). You can say Cassie had an interest in freeing you. In Joel's case it was to help Matt and Sara. You'd have to make up an excuse for Jon. She managed to get you guys kidnapped and shipped you down to the Bladeship for the three days it would take for your yeerk to starve. Or, if your yeerk is friendly, they don't have to die. There is a pool at the bladeship. The yeerk could even become a human nothlit of some kind that helps run the bladeship or teaches or something. IDK.

Hmmmm..... well, even if we don't necessarily play it out I want an idea of what went down. A set story that we can mentally look back on a little in the beginning of the entry thread if nothing else.

I guess I can understand your idea some, especially since we'd be able to leave the Academy at 25 posts and playing out the freedom run would bump us up, probably a decent ways too.

Jon's yeerk isn't peaceful or friendly, so I think he'll most likely have to just be starved. Either way, both me and Matt agreed that skipping playing it out would be fine, provided that we decide on exactly what happens in the thread so it can be referenced by the characters later.

We'll need to know who's going to be involved with the thread, and we'll need whoever that is to help us with working the details out (here, if that's okay with everyone else).

OK. So what Aubrey and I decided is we start the intro thread with Jon and Joel already free and on their way to Animorphs Academy. However, during the thread they look back (possibly flash back) on how they were freed.

This means we need anyone who wants to be part of this to help us plan that idea out so there's a single, agreed upon story about how it happened.

We need this ASAP since the intro thread has been started.

Flashbacks are cool, especially since Dexter is probably staying in Vegas.
