Now that you have read the Rules for the site, made a Character, a Face Claim, and have the whole kit and kaboodle Approved, it's time to make it official. Just as you checked a box upon registering for Proboards (because no one really reads their terms) You have to post below that you understand our rules and addendum's. By signing below, you state that:

I have read and understand the Rules and Regulations of this Roleplay Site (RP) "Animorphs Expansion" and acknowledge that by breaking the rules outlined therin could constitute banning for a set period or even removal from the site.

I will post in a timely manner[/i] (No more than five days) and if I cannot (because we do have lives away from our computers) I will post a thread in the Leaving board and/or PM an Administrator.

Although Animorphs is copyrighted by Scholastic and K.A. Applegate, I acknowledge that the writing, graphics, and ideas represented in content (IC) and out of content (OOC) are the sole possessions of their owners and their owners alone. If I use any of the above mentioned media that is not of my ownership I will ask, wait for permission, and the credit the original creator. I also understand that it is well within the owners right to tell me no and will respect their decision.

Basically, follow the Rules, don't wait weeks to Post (and if you have to, just let us know!), and if its not yours- ask and give credit. Remember they don't have to let you either.

Alright, so I think this Constitution needs to be turned into a mission statement or deleted completely. I'm still a constitutionalist but right now it reads as a mission statement, not a Constitution. Constitutions establish governments and lay out the rules they have to follow. I don't think it is all that wise to create hard and fast rules relating to site government. And, by that I mean, I'm having a hard time coming up with rules broad and flexible enough to meet all of the situations we've faced in the first year, let alone all the ones we can face. Maybe a Constitution will make sense one day, when we have more experience, but not today.

That said, there are some things here that I'd like to keep and some things I want to add. So I suggest adding two new rules to the Rule section.

Ownership.
Although Animorphs is copyrighted by Scholastic and K.A. Applegate, you must acknowledge that the writing, graphics, and ideas represented in content (IC) and out of content (OOC) are the sole possessions of their owners and their owners alone. If you use any of the above mentioned media that is not of your ownership you will ask, wait for permission, and the credit the original creator. You also understand that it is well within the owners right to tell you no and will respect their decision. Failure to do so will result in a 10% increase in warning level and removal of the disputed material from your work.

Due Process.
No member can be deprived of rank unfairly. Fairness here will consist of:
1) Being notified of any complaints or charges against you.
2) Being notified of who is making those charges.
3) Being given a chance to speak in your defense.
4) Being given a chance to have the issue judged by an impartial administrator, moderator or panel of players if all members belonging to the first two categories are parties to the dispute.
All decisions, once handed down, are final.
