Jullian:
Jullian had been hiding his fear since they had entered the tunnels and was now following Matt and Steve down the ledge towards their starting point.
But he was starting to lose it. He felt like he was stretched too tight. Every little shadow was making him jump. And there were a lot of shadows down here.
He whipped his head around. Had he heard something. He listened closely. Water dripping, water running, both with the hollow echoy sound that said they were in a TUNNEL! Maybe he should have warned Matt that he was claustrophobic but he wouldn't be the weak one of this group.
He was just glad that the darkness hid his face and even a lot of his form from Matt's sight. Matt had an almost super natural gift for reading people but even he wouldn't be able to see Jullian's body language down here. Good, all he had to do was keep his near panic out of his thought speak when they morphed and he would be all good.
Stevert:
When Steve stepped into the tunnel, the first thing he said was, "Crap. I think a dog has been in here or something." He picked his foot up and tried wiping it against the ground. Not smart, he thought. This tunnel is covered in slime, sewage, and who wants to know what else. "Hey, Matthew. You said to morph small animals right?" Steve went ahead and morphed to squirrel. About two and a half minutes later, a squirrel was hopping around in the darkness. <<Um, Matt? I don't think my squirrel will work very well. It's too dark down here and my other senses aren't that great.
About three minutes later, a slightly out of breathe Steve stood in the sewer. "Uh, maybe my wild dog will work better." He tried morphing again. He shrank down and fell to the ground on all fours. Yellow, tan, White, and black fur grew all over his body. He felt his spine shoot out from his body and then grow fur as well. His ears rounded and grew as they moved to the top of his head. Suddenly, his world came alive as he completed the transformation and the magnificent senses of the wild dog opened up to him. Unfortunately. Although he could see alot better than the squirrel, he could unfortunately smell alot better as well. <<Oh my poor nose.>> He whined with thought -speak.
While the human Steve was slightly afraid of the sewers, and the darkness, the African Wild Dog Steve had no fear. To him, the darkness was merely another challenge in which to find prey. Or it was a game. Steve felt better now that the wild dog was encouraging him so he said, <<Hopefully nobody's claustrophobic or scared of the dark. If so, please take the exit to your left. Thank you for visiting Slimeville.>>
Then he said, <<C'mon. Let's get started!>>
Matt:
Matt could tell neither Jullian nor Steve was very comfortable in the sewers. Jullian esspecially seemed to want to leave. Possability he's claustraphobic. He might not have wanted to tell me. I'll just keep quiet about it. Noting Steve using his African wild dog Matt wondered if his ferret would work in here or not. Morphing it would be the only way to tell.
Three minutes later the leader was a small, furry, slimey ferret. <<Ewww.... the ferret mind is usually curious, but even it doesn't want to know what I have on my fur.>> Still, he could see well enough and smell well enough. That was what was most important with this. When I move around down here other times I'll use my bat morph. It's dark enough I can just envision it's a cave.... a very stinky cave.
<<Okay, let's get moving. I've got the paper from Rian so we can mark down things as we go..... Damn, no one brought a light of any kind. Rian thought we'd forgotten something. We'll have to substitute somehow. We'll worry about it when we need to.>> Moving on Matt remembered the joke Steve had made. Jullian might not be over his claustrophobia in morph, but at least the ferret wasn't scared of the dark. As pathetic as it seemed..... Matt was.
Stevert:
Steve thought over what Matthew said and replied, <<Matthew, do we really need light? I mean, if you can see well enough in the dark. One other thing, you can write, right? Cause this mission is sunk if you can't. Unless Jullian's monkey can see. You know, we can always turn around and go get a flashlight from the Haunt. I'll do. I'm the fastest I think.>> By now , the sewage was beginning to actually hurt his morph's nose.
<<Um, can we get a move on or something? This sewer is hurting my wild dog.>> Steve whined. Then he had an idea. He concentrated on his human nose. That was it. His human nose. His nose and mouth shrank until they were human. He tried to thought-speak but he couldn't. He tried talking but his vocal cords hadn't formed yet. Maybe that's because I'm not supposed to stay in a mixed morph. He morphed back to wild dog almost sighing when his momentary relief from the stench disappeared.
Jullian:
Jullian concentrated on morphing the squirrel monkey. Luckily all he was thinking of was getting smaller so nothing weird happened except that he had completely shrunk to squirrel monkey size before the rest of the changes began.
Once he was completely monkey he jumped up onto Steve's back to escape the slime, which he also wasn't too cool with. He found that his sense of smell was also not too happy with the surroundings but at least they looked a bit bigger in this form.
<<I'm ready.>> He kept his sentences short to hide his fear.
Stevert:
<<All aboard.>> Steve said as Jullian jumped on his back. <<Hey Matt, maybe you should give Jullian the paper and stuff. That way all you have to worry about is moving. Jullian is on my back so he has nothing else to do and I think he is a little more dexturous than you.>>
A couple minutes later, Steve said to Matt, <<I'm ready also. Jullian and I will go ahead and start, Okay?>> Steve was actually kind of enjoying this. The wild dog suppressed his fear so Steve could just enjoy. And he was actually doing something, besides sitting around the Haunt. As they walked down the tunnels, Steve kept a couple inches from the slime covered wall. That way he could stay on the ground and would be less likely to fall in the sewage. Plus, the farther from the stench he got, the happier he got.
Matt:
Matt looked around until he spotted Steve and started after him, <<I'd give Jullian the paper if I could, but I can't exactly reach through the ferret morph to my pocket belt and pull it out. I'll do it when I get the chance to demorph.>> The ferret was almost sliding along in the slime behind the Wild Dog. <<Can I ride too? This is disgusting.>>
Yes, the ferret instincts took over Matt a little bit. Not nearly as hard to control as the crocodile's were, but whenever they shared a view on something the instincts decided to kick in a bit and affect his personality. <<Keep your counts in mind too. We need to demorph every once and a while. We all morphed at roughly the same time so we'll demorph when Steve needs to since he was the first.>> Yeah.... focus on the orders and the mission. Anything to keep his mind of the oders of the sewer. Definitely using bat morph from now on down here. I just can't this time because Jullian and Steve would lose me.
Stevert:
If Steve was human, he would have blushed but the wild dog was calm and cool. <,Oops Matt. I didn't know that it was still in your pocket belt. We should name those things. Maybe bocket? Or pelt? Oh, and sure, you can ride to if you must. Do you think I like this stuff any more than you?>> Steve fought the African wild dog's mind and layed down in the grime. <<If you wanna ride Matt, than hrry up and get on. My morph hates this stuff.>>
As long as the wild dog didn't have to touch the junk in the sewers or smell it, it was happy. But it couldn't have both. Steve decided to not touch the stuff. Once Matt was on, he started off again. <<About the stopping and morphing thing, I don't have a watch so how about we guess and demorph every hour? That way we have a pretty big margin of error. I think I've been in morph about half an hour already. Maybe on our next attempts. We should bring a watch a long that can glow in the dark. Then we have someone with hands put in on after they've morphed. How about that?"
Matt:
<<That might work Steve,>> said Matt. The ferret was a little happier on the wild dog's back..... though it didn't entirely like the dog. The dog was big and scared the ferret some. Hey, either ride the dog or slide through the slime, Matt told the instincts. <<I think the only one with a morph with hands though is Jullian. Speaking of hands, Jullian can you hold onto me so I don't slide off Steve's back. This ferret isn't necessarily built for riding. I might see if I can morph bat and stick with you guys when we demorph. It would be a little more at home down here.>>
Hey, he'd been thinking about it so long why not give it a shot. If anything he'd be able to see way better than any other member of the group. Besides, if he couldn't keep back with them then he'd go back to being the miserable, slimey ferret on Steve's back. <<How about calling the pocket belt's 'pouches'. They sort of remind me of the pouch on a kangaroo except they extend all the way around. It's an actual word rather than making something weird up.>> It was jut a thought.
Stevert:
<<Matt? Do you want me to hold you in my mouth? I'll make sure you don't slip. Hee hee. But 'pouch' is so boring. Besides, pelt IS a word. But it means, like, animal skin. And yeah, a bat would work. You could be our early warning detector. The echolocation would probably be more useful since my sense of smell is being somewhat sabotauged. And you wouldn't have to worry about holding on to me. If you go bat, as long as you don't fly more than about 30 miles per hour, I should be able to keep up just fine.>>
They continued on for about five minutes when Steve said to Matt, <<Do you mind if I run? We can get through this alot faster that way. I can do that for about three miles. We could cover more ground that way and make up any time we might have lost.>>
Matt:
<<Okay. I'll stick to ferret until we demorph and then I'll try going bat. And Steve, no you don't want to carry me. My ferret morphs stomach is covered in whatever is on the floor. If your wild dog doesn't like what it smells like imagine how it will react to the taste.>> Nope. Not a good idea. Matt himself kind of figured this stuff would taste as bad as it smelled.
So bat it would be. Steve had made a very good point about him being able to see things better and not relying on his sense of smell which was full of sewere stench anyways. And Steve could keep up which would be a good thing. Jullian was on Steve so that meant the group would still be together even though Matt was in a flight morph. Here I go being batman again, he thought sarcastically before telling Steve <<Sure. I think I'm secure enough for that.>>
Stevert:
Steve said to Matthew, <<Oh yuck! I didn't think about the slime factor. Oh gross. Yes, I would prefer if Jullian just grabbed you.>> THen Steve broke off into a fast run at about 30miles per hour. He was trying to make up the time they had spent morphing in the beginning and just figuring out what to do.
Steve discovered that if you stayed in the middle of the path, you slipped less often on the muck. Keeping this in mind, he ran for about another half hour when he began to slow down to a stop. He was getting ready to demorph when he suddenly noticed that the weight on his back had decresed. <<Hey,>> he called out in thought-speak, <<are you guys still up there?>>
Jullian:
Jullian had been trying to hold onto the ferret and Steve at the same time. He was glad this morph had hands but even with the great weapon of the opposable thumb his grip slipped from the slimy fur of the ferret and Matt fell.
<<Steve! I lost Matt. We lost Matt.>> He tried really hard to keep the near panic out of his voice. Not from losing Matt, they had all seen worse and if anyone could find them again it would be Matt, but from the enclosed space. He didn't remember his claustrophobia being this bad.
<<Should we go back for him? How are we going to find him?>>
Stevert:
Steve's first reaction was to panic but common sense took over. << Take a deep breathe Jullian.>> hisvoice was no longer cheery. Now is was completely business. << I do not think we should attempt to find him. Our dog morphs would be useless to track him considering all the slime on him and the stench down here. Our birds would be useless as well. Dolphins won't work either although the echolocation would be nice, we just coiuldn't move. My pronghorn won't work down here in the dark and the slime. We should continue forward and memorizing the route since Matt has the paper.>>
<<Besides, Matthew can take care of himslef. He has a saltwater crocodile that can do some damage, his ferret morph with excellent enses, but most of all his bat morph with its echolocation. If anything, he should find us. We would have no way to really find him. Calm down Jullian. Don't worry about Matt.>> Jullian seemed to be panicing so Steve knew that he could not do the same. Instead he stepped up, made a descision, and attempted to calm Jullian, and himself, down.
<<Jullian, let's keep going. We really have no choice.>> With that, he took off down the tunnel.
Jullian:
<<Right.>> He was glad that Steve attributed his panic to losing Matt. He really didn't want to appear weak. It was bad enough that he was the youngest member of the faction. Added to that he had a weird morphing thing going on and he wasn't the best fighter. He really didn't need the others to know that he was afraid of small spaces too.
He grabbed two handfuls of Steve's fur as he shot of down the tunnel and tried to look around and memorize everything. Luckily this was something he was good at. He thought visually and he would be able to remember what he saw later. He didn't have a photographic memory, he wasn't that good, but this he could do.
<<How do we know when to turn back? How do we know when we've done enough and we don't even have paper to mark all this.>>
Stevert:
<<Those are excellent questions, Jullian>> and Steve was still trying to figure out a way to answer them. He was unsure but he couldn't show any signs of that. One of them had to stay calm and cool and since Jullian was panicking, that left it up to him. <<Okay Jullian, here's the plan, >>he said as he slowed down to a stop. <<Let's go ahead and demorph snce I think that we have been in morph for about an hour and a half.>>
He stopped and demorphed back into his normal, human body. "Now, when we morph again, let's do about three more shifts of near an hour and a half. Then we will turn around. That way we won't be gone to long, and also so we can remember it all. And to answer your second question, well, my wild dog is male, and some instincts are a little hard to control. In short, the dog's been peeing every ten yards or so. I should be able to smell it again, even through all of this garbage."
Jullian:
"Then you're nose must be a lot better than mine," Jullian said fully demorphed. "If we are going to be following a scent trail then maybe I should go Dingo, just in case we get separated. Come to think of it most of the faction has a morph that can smell well. Why don't we just mark the tunnels that we've been in and seen are safe. Then, anyone else down here can find their way around too."
He began remorphing, this time to dingo. It wasn't as small as the squirrel monkey and wouldn't help with the claustrophobia as much but it was safer. Down here the squirrel monkey could be in danger from a mean rat.
Stevert:
" Yeah I see what you mean, Jullian." said Steve. He couldn't say anything else because at that moment, his mouth and nose stretched out to form a muzzle. He continued morphing until he fell forward on his legs. Unfortunately, he fell on a puddle of slime and he fell to the side. As he completed the morph, he got back up and groaned, <<Oh, even with morphing, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna feel that in the morning.>> Now both of them were some kind of wild dog.
<<Okay, Jullian. The only problem with our marking the tunnels are, the pee doesn't tell you what direction it is in. Maybe if we just pee on one side of the sewers. Then we could tell what directions to take. Let's go ahead and continue on.>> The dog's mind was a bit happier now. Now it was a part of a pack, even if the pack only had two members. Suddenly, Steve felt something was wrong. Then he noticed it. His morph was trying to assert its dominance over Jullian. Steve fought the wild instincts and started off running. <<Hey Jullian! Would you happen to know how fast you can run? Then i can kinda pace myself out.>>
Jullian:
<<Nope, I have no idea. I've only used the morph once and I didn't really test it out but it seems to be fairly fast. And it's male so I can help you mark. You can lead the way though.>>
He was now fully dingo and his poor nose was getting the brunt of the smell. He hoped they would be able to map these sewers out quickly and move on to the subways because this was not how he wanted to spend his days. At least the subways would be dry and the smell would not be quite as bad though the sewers were farther reaching and went places the subways couldn't go.
<<Jeez, now I see what you mean about that smell. But I can smell the trail you left through all this so I think your idea will work.>> He sneezed and shook his yellow head a bit. <<What's soonest started is soonest done. Let's get this done and get out of here.>>
Stevert:
<<I totally agree Jullian. At least you have to put up with the same smell that I do. He he!>> Steve said. He was trying to calm Jullian down and to ease his panic. It seemed to be working. Before , Steve could distinctally hear the panic in his voice but now Jullian was sounding better.
<<Okay Jullian, let's move out!>> Steve laughed privately to himself. It was pretty funny how he, a 14 year old kid, was giving orders like Matthew, who was 17. This leader stuff was actually pretty fun! As they began running through the tunnels, Steve was getting excited. He barely managed to remember to keep marking the tunnels.
Steve said to Jullian, <<Do you think that we will start mapping out the subways next? I hope so. This smell is murder. Plus most of my morphs don't work down here.>> Steve was trying to distract Jullian so he wouldn't start panicing again. Steve was guessing that Jullian was claustrophobic. But he wasn't sure. He hoped the kid would calm down.
Jullian:
<<I think that was the plan though why we started with the sewers is beyond me. I mean, Matt could have eased us into it with some nice dry subway tunnels. Maybe they were trying to get the worst done first but I think that's ridiculous. I really hate->> he cut himself off before he revealed his claustrophobia, <<uh, sewage. I mean, who likes sewage right.>>
He ran after Steve not marking anything. He figured Steve would run out eventually and it wasn't like there was a place to get a drink around here so then it would be his turn. He stopped a moment to wonder at the oddity of his thoughts. They were running around the sewers as wild dogs worrying about running out of pee. <<Do you ever get the feeling that our lives have gotten very strange?>>
Stevert:
<<Not I, said the African Wild dog.>> Said Steve, <<I hate this muck. I would love the subway tunnels. At least most of my morphs would work there since they probably still have lights.>> Then he responded to Jullian, <<No way, Jules. I find it perfectly normal for me to go around changing into animals to go running around in sewers to map them out all the while wondering if creepy aliens from outer space are going to kill me or shove their slimy bodies into my ear and control my life forever. I mean, come on! There is nothing out of the ordinary there. Nope. Not at all.>> Steve said all of that in a cheery tone and laughed at the end so that Jullian would know he was kidding.
Steve kept running through the tunnels, stopping every once in a while to mark them. Soon he noticed that he was marking with less and less each time. <<Hey Jullian! I seem to have run into a problem. I can't mark very well anymore. I ran out of pee, as weird as it is to say that. Could you take over the marking part now?>> Then he thought about what he just said. The humour of it overcame him and he began laughing hard through thought-speak. <<ha ha ha! I see what you mean Jullian. A month or two ago, I wouldn't have said a single thing like that. Look at what the Yeerks have done to us. It is actually funny. A month ago, peeing was just a bodily function. Now our lives may depend on it someday. Ha ha ha!>>
Jullian:
<<No problem. I always wanted to pee in a sewer. Well I guess all our pee goes here anyway.>> That just reminded him of how gross all this was so he changed the topic. <<So we haven't really talked at all before all this started.>> He searched for an appropriate topic. He was going to go with family but that was a sore subject for most people.
He ran past Steve's wild dog so that he would be in front and could mark as they went. He knew that the time mark was coming up soon and that then they would be able to turn back and be done for the day. <<Before all this happened, what did you want to be? You know, like in school when they ask you what you want to be when you grow up what was your answer?>>
Stevert:
Steve slowed down so that Jullian could get ahead of him. He answered Jullian's questionafter a couple of minutes of thinking. <<Well, I guess I always wanted to be a veternarian. I always had a thing for small, furry animals. And I liked to help them. I was constantly bringing stray dogs and cats home.>> He paused momentarily, thinking of how ironic it was that he wanted to be a vet when now he could become animals. <<Anyways, what did you want to be? Wait, let me guess, a tailor? I was thinking that because of all of the stuff you went through to make these cool morphing outfits.>>
Steve was glad that the kid liked to talk. It matched Steve's newfound personality. The thing about Steve was, he had a different personality for each occasion. If the situation needed something, say, a peacemaker, Steve could fill the role. Or he could by a calm and cool person. Or an angry berserker. Steve's personality was mostly to balance out other personalities. He also had a small gift to read other people's emotions, which enabled him to act respondingly. Like Jullian. When the two lost Matt, Jullian began freaking out. That meant that Steve had to act calm and collected to help balance the two out. Balancing was Steve's gift.
He just tended to be the ever-moving, energizer person that the others knew him by becvause they seemed to have enough angry and emotional and serious people as it was.
Jullian:
<<Tailor! Nope. I mean, I do like designing clothes. I was thinking of becoming a fashion designer. I even wanted to go to school for it everntually you know. Like FIT or something in the city. But my mom was against the idea. She was a police officer and she really believed in duty and serving and all. All my brothers and sisters did, but Helena most of all. I think Helena might have become a police officer or something eventually. I don't know, I didn't talk to her much. We were so different you know. But she was a really good shot, everyone said so. My mom was really proud of her when she ran off to join the resistance. Well she was mad at first because Helena didn't tell anyone where she was going, just left us a note, but then my mom was really happy.>>
<<But I'm the baby of the family.>> He said it with a surprising amount of anger in his voice. <<I'm just a kid, the youngest. And worse, I like clothes and boys and care about small things like food and keeping things clean. I'm different from everyone in my family and my mom always kinda looked at me like she didn't know where I had come from. Not mean, just pitying. Like, poor Jullian, he's so fragile, he's so small, he's so weak, we have to protect him.>> He hadn't meant to say all of that. He hadn't known he had all of that in him but apparently it was all backed up.
<<So when Helena left and my mom was so proud I guess I wanted her to be proud of me too so here I am.>>
Stevert:
Steve listened to everything Jullian said. Apparently this kid had alot on his mind. Then he stopped when he heard one thing. <<Say what? Pause. Rewind and stop. You like clothes and WHAAAT? Well, it really isn't my place to ssay anything. Your choice so I can't judge you. But I know what you mean about what you said before that. I'm the youngest in my family as well. I had two older brothers and an older sister. My oldest brother was 21, my sister was 18, Robert was my second youngest brother and he was 16, and I'm 14. Robert was always my best friend. We did almost everything together. Which is why we are both alive instead of just one of us. And I was never that close with my sister either. She was always out hanging around with her friends, going on shopping expeditions and generally staying away from me.>>
After a small pause he started up again. He was glad he was saying all of this with his mind. It meant he didn't have to waste time by taking a breathe. << The only reason that Robert and I are alive is because we had snuck out of the house just driving around when the Yeerks Draconed my uncle's house we were staying at.>> Steve stopped himself. No. He wasn't going to say anything else. He knew he would start to break down or crack and he couldn't do that in front of Jullian. Especially when Nobody else was around. Someone had to lead and if Jullian couldn't, then it was up to him to stay strong and move along.
Then he spoke again. <<So Jullian, I think we should demorph now. I think we've been in morph for almost two hours now.>> Steve concentrated on himslef and three minutes later, his world went black.
But that was because he had lost the canines wonderful senses so he was a blind human standing in a sewer. He waited for Jullian to demorph so they would both be in morph for the same amount of time. And he knew Jullian would want to get out of this place as fast as possible. Mostly, because Steve wanted to also.
Matt:
Matt's head hurt. He'd managed to demorph before blacking out, but he'd hit his head rather hard on the cement ground. He was now lying there still and kind of slimey. He had to remember what he was doing here, but something was making it hard to remember. It's amnesia. It has to be. I can't remember anything past.... leaving Chicago. Damn. I was headed to lead the L.A. Faction with Rian. We met..... a boy..... I can't even remember his name!
This wasn't good. Matt had brief glimpses of faces, two females and four males besides Rian's. One was the boy they'd run into on the way. The other's Matt couldn't recognize. Now he was lost down in what appeared to be sewers. Was he in L.A. or somewhere on the way? Morph bat. I can see better that way.
He shrank down into the familiar shape and went flying off looking for someone, anyone, who could tell him what was going on. Hopefully he'd find Rian, or the boy. Whoever he was Matt hoped he could be trusted.
Jullian:
He had meant to stay away from the subject of family and had ended up bringing it up anyway. Maybe family was all there was to talk about these days. Everything that had served for good conversation topics before the invasion just didn't seem to matter anymore. Who cared what was happening with the weather. There were no illicit relations going on for him to tell her to tell him to end up getting back to Jullian. Brittany Spears was a controller.
All of those stupid things that had taken up their time before all this just didn't seem to matter anymore. The only thing that seemed to matter was your friends and your family and saving them if you could.
<<Yeah, I was thinking we should demorph soon.>> He demorphed to his human self and took a moment before morphing back to dingo. He had already morphed twice while he was down here and he was feeling the affects slightly. But his claustrophobia was starting to get the better of him again without the dingo's cool confidence mixed with dog happy to drive it away.
"Who knows, maybe we'll find Matt on our way back," he said a note of panic coming back into his voice even though he tried to suppress it.
Stevert:
"Okay then Jullian. How about you go squirrel monkey again. We can go faster if one of us is small and the other is a dog. But I don't think my squirrel can hold on for long, if at all. Then we should be able to make the best time. Especially since we don't have to stop every once in a while to pee. Agreed?"
Steve decided that it wouldn't hurt to stay human awhile longer. He kind of needed to rest a little even though he been spending a lot of time in each morph. He just wanted to make sure he was ready if he had to morph quickly. Steve finished his rest and focused on the canine DNA in side of him.
About two minutes and 45 seconds later, Steve was an African wild dog, ready to take on the sewers. <<Come on Jullian. Get on my back. The sooner you get on, the sooner we get outta here.>>
Jullian:
"Thanks for the offer Steve but I feel safer in my dingo morph. I mean I don't think we'll run into anything down here but I like it." The dingo's confidence was something he needed much more than the squirrel monkey's constant paranoia, the inheritance of any prey animal.
He began morphing to dingo and was soon standing beside Steve in the sewer, dingo senses fully intact. For a second he was again overpowered by the smell but he had learned to ignore it by now. He was much more interested in what his ears were telling him. Did he hear...yelling? <<Steve do you hear anything odd down here?>>
Matt:
Matt heard some odd noises down one of the tunnels. Turning that way his bat went screeching through the tunnels trying to find somone or some animal he'd recognize.
<<Rian?..... Anyone?....>> The thoughts were projected to all who were in recieving range. Someone who knew what was going on should be able to hear. He couldn't remember anything, but maybe something would prompt his memory if he found someone else from his Faction...... did he have a faction? He was supposed to be the L.A. leader, but he didn't even remember if he'd arrived in L.A. Someone..... please help me.
