"Sort of like academics" Sawyer said. "There are some history classes but it's more about the history of the Animorphs and the Yeerks. There are also strategy classes and other subjects to do with fighting in the war. I wouldn't say that the classes are easy but they are a heck of a lot more interesting than what we used to be taught in school. Plus you feel like the stuff you are learning will actually be useful in everyday life. Most people hang out here rather than study though. I'm just kind of an over achiever. I always was."
Sawyer smiled to herself at the thought. She had always been serious about academics and had she ever gotten the chance to go to high school she probably would have been in all AP classes. Studying always took up her free time because all the rumors surrounding her prevented people from wanting to be friends with her. So she studied to compensate for her lack of a social life and now it was a bit of a hard habit to break even though people at the academy wanted to include her in their fun now. "So anyways speaking of classes, the classrooms are next."

Ah, that made much more sense. Practical classes about war; they seemed much more reasonable than Advanced Calculus or American history. So her first assumptions had been correct; basic training. A smile flittered across her face before returning her attention back to listening. Sawyer was a very good pick for greeting newbies. She had no problems about talking and seemed to know just the right bits of information to pass along, the stuff that was interesting to everyone like what people normally did and such and such. That, and Suzanna found it fascinating to listen to someone open up so much about themselves without her having to discover it for herself.
A pleasant smile decided to take up residence upon her lips and she ran her thoughts back over all she had learned (and didn’t learn) in just the few short minutes it had been since she landed. On the spur of the moment, despite how fresh it all was, Suzy May discovered that she couldn’t quite remember most of, if not all, that had transpired. But it had been thrust upon her pretty quickly so she’d probably digest the information later and soak it all in. There just wasn’t time for that yet.
And then they were at the classrooms. They were….interesting, to say the least. If she wasn’t mistaken, the one with various sorts of fabrics and randomly-colored pieces of material scattered all over the floor and walls was….a sewing class? “What class is in there?” she asked, pointing.
((OOC: It’s the morphing class, unless my memory has gone bad or Julian has changed the décor of it since I last read over a thread there….))

"That would be the morphing class." Sawyer replied. "I'm not sure why it was decorated that way. I guess Julian has rather artistic taste or something. I never asked cause I didn't want seem rude, that and knowing Julian I wasn't sure I'd understand the answer. Anyways it beats boring white walls and rows of desks don't you think?" Sawyer did like having classes with Julian even it was a little weird being taught by someone five years younger that you. Julian had this delightful enthusiastic quirkiness that would be enough to lighten Scrooge's grumpy mood.
Sawyer had certainly grown a lot since she joined the Animorph cause. She was more social and less brooding. Of course her persistence never faded but persistence usually gets you ahead in life even if it made you a little annoying. She was also still pretty serious even if she had started to joke around a bit more. Maybe it was just that she finally felt like she had a place that she belonged and that she was part of a group for once. She just wished that all this change had been caused by a good event in her life rather than the war.
