I guess? What does he mean 'I guess'? Dustin was a little confused by Jullian's lack of a response. He wasn't sure exactly how he had expected his instructor to respond, but he had expected... more. Now Dustin was confused as to how he should proceed. Should he inquire further? Ignore Jullian and go on with the lesson? Change the subject?
"Should I... try again?" he finally asked, giving Jullian a questioning look. He had opted for the subtly-hint-that-you-sense-something-is-wrong-but-don't-know-if-you-want-to-actually-talk-about-it method. If Jullian wanted to drop it and move on, he would. But if he wanted to talk about whatever was bothering him, well now he had an opening for that too. Dustin wasn't sure which option he himself would prefer.

Jullian looked up at Dustin and then over at the sand pit. He wanted to vent his frustration to someone, anyone really. He was so tired of going back to his room and staring at the ceiling. He had no friends to hang out with on his off time, no hobbies outside of morphing. He sometimes worked on uniform design but that was it really. The one person he saw most often that wasn't a student was Seiya for their weekly meetings followed closely by Nineteen. No one was his age, no one wanted to do anything other than work, or so it seemed to him. But he knew that wasn't the complete truth. There were people on board the ship that did things other than just their jobs. There were friends and relationships and games and all of it seemed to be cut off from him. He was too important or too much of an authority figure to invite to off hour games or parties. But too young to really have that much authority. It was the worst of both worlds as far as he could see.
"I'm sorry Dustin," Jullian said, picking himself up. "I don't mean to bring my lack of a social life into our training sessions. Yeah, you should run it again if you feel up to it," Jullian said as he stood out of the way. He decided he'd have to talk to someone about all of this. Trying to keep ignoring the fact that he was unhappy wasn't working but he just wasn't sure who he could talk to. But he'd have to figure it out on his own time, not on Dustin's. That wouldn't be fair.
